As part of the design for PTWIS for which you created a logical model in assignment 1, you are required to create a data design for it. You need to complete this part of the assignment using a data design template.
As part of completing Part A of assignment 2 you will be required to:
Compare and contrast the traditional and object-oriented approaches to systems development.
For part B of assignment 2 you are required to write an academic essay comparing and contrasting the traditional and object-oriented approaches to systems development.
Your research into this topic is to show depth and diversity. Your arguments must be supported by referring to reputable articles that are relevant to the main argument of your essay. The reference list should contain at least 6 sources fully referenced from textbooks, refereed journals and reputable websites. Students should note that articles found on general websites are NOT acceptable. For example, articles found on Wikipedia are NOT acceptable whereas articles found on IBM’s site are acceptable. The research you completed in preparation for writing this academic essay should show depth and diversity
Professional presentation, spell-checked, and correct grammar, using Harvard style referencing, page numbering, and headers and footers. You should include a statement that the work is your own. You must use the Harvard style of referencing.
Your academic essay must be written using the academic essay template. The structure is:
The maximum word length is 2500 words (+/-10%) excluding references headers, footers, and Table of Contents. You should keep in mind the audience for whom the essay is intended and that is other systems analysts.
You need to put your name and other details into the required fields of the template. Insert your own answers (in black font) into the template where the red font is currently shown. Please ensure that you delete the material in the red font. It is included in the template to assist you to understand what is required in each section. It should NOT form part of your asssignment when you submit it.
